| BIOGRAPHIE |
Embrace est un groupe post-Hardcore formé durant l'été 1985 à Washington DC. Le groupe était principalement reconnu en raison de ses membres bien connus, le chanteur Ian MacKaye de Minor Threat et Teen Idles, le guitariste Michael Hampton de State of Alert, le batteur Ivor Hanson et le bassiste Chris Blad tous originaires du groupe Faith. Le seul disque sorti par le groupe est l'auto-portrait, Embrace enregistré entre novembre 1985 et février 1986. Cet album de 14 morceaux dont "No More Pain", "Dance of Days" et "Said Gun" et produit par Ian MacKay et Edward Janney pour le label "Dischord" (label de Ian). Le groupe se sépare au printemps 1986. Pour Ian MacKay, Embrace représenté un projet transitoire entre les sons courts et le bruit rapide de ses anciens groupes et la musique Emo-core qu'il réalisera avec son futur groupe Fugazi.
