Wide Awake est un groupe de hardcore straight-edge du Connecticut formé vers la fin des années 1980, qui rappel la musique énergique et puissante, mosh/slamming des Youth Of Today, Underdog, Token Entry et des autres groupes de New York. Le groupe a participé à la légendaire compilation hardcore de New York intitulé Hold Your Ground en compagnie de Warzone, Government Issue, Unity, Stalag 13, Inside Out, Violent Children, Project X, Fu's, Void.... j'en passe et des meilleurs.
