| BIOGRAPHIE |
Siege est un groupe de hardcore formé en 1981 à Weymouth à coté de Boston dans le Massachusetts, par Kurt Habelt, Henry McNamee et Rob Williams. Le groupe n'a jamais apprécié la domination du clan XClaim dans la scène hardcore straight edge de Boston. Les membres ont défini leurs propres son, violent, ultra rapide et nihiliste. En 1984, Siege sort sa premier demo, puissante et musicalement diversifié, intitulé Drop Dead. Ce disque est produit par Lou Giordano (qui a aussi réalisé des albums pour Hüsker Dü, Negative FX, SSD, Mission of Burma, Pere Ubu). Le groupe part en tournée et joue avec DYS, Freeze et Necros, la même année. Siege enregistre 3 titres en 1985, pour la compilation Cleanse the Bacteria, où apparaît 7 Seconds, Poison Idea, Mob 47, Corrosion Of Conformity... Peu de temps après les membres se séparent. En 1990, le groupe se reforme pour une courte durée, en compagnie du chanteur Seth Putnam ( Anal Cunt) qui remplace Mahoney.
