| BIOGRAPHIE |
One Last Wish est un groupe effémere de 1986 formé à Washington D.C. par Michael Hampton (ex- State of Alert, Faith, Embrace), Brendan Canty (ex- Rites of Spring), Guy Picciotto (ex- Rites of Spring) et Edward Janney (ex- Untouchables, Grand Union, Faith, Rites of Spring). Arpès la séparation du groupe Rites of Spring, Brendan Canty, Edward Janney et Guy Picciotto rejoigne le guitariste Michael Hampton ex- Embrace, ex- Faith pour former One Last Wish en mai 1986. Le groupe joue son premier concert en aout 1986. Après des festivals en faveur du collectif "Positive Force", One Last Wish à réalisé son show le plus mémorable en faisant l'ouverture du "Screaming Blue Messiahs" à Washington D.C. où au total cinq guitares ont été détruite, par seulement deux groupes. En novembre 1986 One Last Wish enregistre 12 titres au "Inner Ear Studios" avec Ian MacKaye comme producteur. Le groupe se sépare peu de temps avant la fin du mixage de cet album. C'est pour cela qu'il faudra attendre 13 ans pour voir le résultat final sortir sous le nom de 1986. Le morceau "Burning in the Undertow" est le seul sorti plus tot afin d'apparaître sur la compilation State of the Union en mars 1989. Après la rupture du groupe en janvier 1987, Guy Picciotto a joué dans Happy Go Licky (1987-1988), Brief Weeds (1991-1992), et The Black Light Panthers (project depuis 1982), et participe toujours dans le groupe Fugazi en compagnie de Brendan Canty.
